What are you creating?

InSoFast describes a free-floating assembly with subfloor attached to the built-in studs. Stagger joints and follow the finish-specific installation guide.

02 / CONNECT THE SURFACES

Think through every transition.

Think through thresholds, drains and transitions as well as the main floor area.

KEEP EXPLORING, WITH CONFIDENCE

Good questions. Clear answers.

Choose materials around your actual project and the complete assembly.

What is built into an InSoFast panel?

Molded EPS insulation, polymer studs, interlocking edges and drainage channels. Interior panel models also provide electrical raceways.

Which R-value should I choose?

UX 2.0 is R-8.5, EXi 2.5 is R-10.5 and MAX 3.75 is R-15.9 for the panel. Climate, local requirements and the complete assembly determine what your project needs.

Can I leave the foam exposed?

A Class A material rating does not remove finish or thermal-barrier requirements. Confirm the complete assembly with your local building official.

How do I insulate a cold floor?

For a concrete slab, plan insulation above the concrete, moisture management and a compatible subfloor and finish. Check clearances and local requirements first.

Does every floor use the same installation?

No. The manufacturer describes floating assemblies and adhered tile applications. Follow the details for your selected finish, loads and slab condition.
