A SMARTER START

Which R-value for your climate?

Start with your climate and the requirement for your full basement wall assembly. Compare panel R-values, then have InSoFast help confirm your selection.

How would you describe your climate?

Pick a climate to begin your R-value discussion.

01 / IMAGINE THE SPACE

Your basement. More possibilities.

Tell us what you want the space to become. Insulation is one part of the wall assembly; address water problems before finishing.

What are you creating?

Adhesive attachment can combine insulation and finish attachment without a separate stud wall. Bowed walls, drainage and heavy fixtures require the relevant installation details.

02 / CONNECT THE SURFACES

Think through every transition.

Concrete, block and transition details need a connected insulation plan.

What should your quote include?

Choose details above to start shaping your project.

Plan continuity at edges, openings and penetrations. The final materials depend on the complete assembly.

03 / FIND YOUR BALANCE

Your priorities shape the path.

Explore a starting point with your project conditions in mind. This guidance is a conversation starter, not a final specification.

KEEP EXPLORING, WITH CONFIDENCE

Good questions. Clear answers.

Choose materials around your actual project and the complete assembly.

What is built into an InSoFast panel?

Molded EPS insulation, polymer studs, interlocking edges and drainage channels. Interior panel models also provide electrical raceways.

Which R-value should I choose?

UX 2.0 is R-8.5, EXi 2.5 is R-10.5 and MAX 3.75 is R-15.9 for the panel. Climate, local requirements and the complete assembly determine what your project needs.

Can I leave the foam exposed?

A Class A material rating does not remove finish or thermal-barrier requirements. Confirm the complete assembly with your local building official.

How do I insulate existing concrete block walls?

Inspect water management and substrate condition first. Follow the masonry attachment and air-sealing instructions; discuss uneven surfaces or additional fasteners before installation.

Can insulated basement wall panels replace framing?

Integrated polymer studs provide finish attachment. Heavy fixtures, openings, partitions and special loads still need the applicable details.
